Lauren + Clyde | Good Vibes at Ocean Blue, Ponte Vedra

Lauren + Clyde's Wedding was the perfect example of looking on the bright side.

May 5th, 2019 (Cinco De Mayoooo - woop woop!), Lauren + Clyde are getting ready at the beautiful Ocean Blue in Ponte Vedra. Florida weather is very unpredictable so Florida being Florida... it started to rain. Not just rain but pour.

I got to the venue to see Clyde soaking wet from moving the ceremony arrangements inside and a surprisingly chill crowd (at least they seemed to be). We had a timeline to be doing the groom's portraits as soon as we arrived, but given the circumstances we had to go with the flow. That's one thing that always keeps me excited about weddings. Not every wedding is the same.

I said hi to Lauren and she was very calm and excited to marry Clyde. All her family and friends were making sure Lauren didn't have to worry about anything. Lauren looked absolutely stunning! Her makeup was flawless (Kiara Shannelle Makeup). Clyde was stylin' in his printed suit with a neat watch to top it off.

All of their vendors went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly. The ladies over at Events By Amanda did a great job getting everything back on track. Feather & Bloom livened up the room with gorgeous and bright florals

Their ceremony took place in the living room of the house. Though you might think it was unconventional, it made the ceremony more intimate and close. Everyone could hear the vows the made to each other. You saw how close this family was.

After the ceremony, we took the bridal party photos on the balcony. Then the rain stopped! So we headed to the beach for some last bride + groom photos.

Then the party started! The Groove Orient had all the guest dancing, toasts gave you all the feels and the tacos were good(thanks to Mangroves Catering).

I really loved Lauren + Clyde's wedding because you saw the two families coming together to ensure they had a great wedding. And they did. So, dont worry about the little things and enjoy the moment you are in.

Lauren's Q+A:

Q: What was your Wedding Day Inspiration?

A: Our biggest inspiration for our Wedding Day and the mantra we always came back to when making decisions was “keep the fun factor high.” Having a festive event on the third anniversary of the day we met on Cinco de Mayo inspired us to include a lot of life, love, dancing, color, and of course — tacos. I have a passion for design and all things vintage so I loved collecting special items for the event to bring a retro bohemian vibe to our beach celebration.

Q: What was your Wedding Planning Experience like?

A: Creatively speaking planning a wedding has been such a fun experience! It has been a joy to reflect on the most significant relationships in our lives and be able to invite the people we love most to share this time with us. In many ways planning a wedding can be challenging, but I would say the entire process has taught us a lot and brought us closer together.

Q: Advice to brides who are currently planning their Weddings?

A: Create space mentally and emotionally to truly celebrate yourself and this exciting time in your life! This might sound like a no-brainer but I can’t tell you how many other brides I’ve met who also had a hard time like I did on a few occasions allowing other people to do nice things for me and make a big fuss. People in your life love you, allow them the opportunity to show you.

Behind an amazing wedding is a team of amazing vendors! Thank you for making their day perfect.
